MARC VAN PETEGHEM and VINCENT LAURIOT-PRÉVOST, founders of VPLP, have announced that they were handing over the control of the naval architecture studio to an executive committee composed of Simon Watin (chairman), Mathias Maurios, Quentin Lucet and Xavier Guisnel.
SÉBASTIEN JOSSE will be Nicolas Troussel’s co-skipper aboard Corum L’Epargne during the next Transat Jacques Vabre. The team has by also announced its participation in The Ocean Race Europe, tour of Europe which is scheduled for May-June.
FRANCK CAMMAS and GEORGES-HENRY LAGIER, Martinique’s yawl specialist are the patrons of the first Cap Martinique, transat under IRC which will set off on 18 April from La Trinité-sur-Mer for Fort-de-France.
THE AMERICAN SAILGP TEAM, which will be led this year by Jimmy Spithill, will also be composed of Andrew Campbell, Cooper Dressler and Alex Sinclair, the first crew announced this week.
YOANN RICHOMME has revealed the crew of the Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team that will race The Ocean Race Europe in May/June: Nicolas Lunven, Jack Bouttell, Emily Nagel, Frederico Melo, Bernardo Freitas, Mariana Lobato and Willy Altadill.
PABLO SANTURDE will be Antoine Carpentier’s co-skipper on the Class40 Redman on the Normandy Channel Race, while PIERRE LACAZE and GÉRY TRENTESAUX, partners of the project, will accompany him respectively on Les Sables-Horta-Les Sables and the Fastnet.
ERIC PÉRON will be Jean Galfione’s co-skipper on board his new Class40 Serenis Consulting on the next Transat Jacques Vabre.
Ian Lipinski, on his Class40 Crédit Mutuel has chosen GWÉNOLÉ GAHINET for the Normandy Channel Race, AMBROGIO BECCARIA for Les Sables-Horta-Les Sables and JULIEN PULVÉ for the Transat Jacques Vabre.
FRÉDÉRIC DUTHIL will be the co-skipper of Thibaut Vauchel-Camus aboard his Multi50 Solidaires en Peloton ARSEP for the same Jacques Vabre.

THE TRANSAT JACQUES VABRE 2021, which will start on 7 November, will have a new destination, Fort-de-France, with three routes 4,600 miles for Class40, 5,800 miles for Class40, 5,800 miles for Class40, 5,800 miles for Class40, 5,800 miles for Class40 and Imoca and Multi50, and 7,500 for the Ultimate. In addition, BRED and CMA CGM are committed as main partners of the double handed Transat.
