- STARS & STRIPES TEAM USA The fifth challenger accepted by Defender Team New Zealand was announced on Thursday. The American challengers are based in Long Beach and will be led by Taylor Canfield. They have already begun building their AC75 in Michigan. The design team is lead by JB Braun ex Oracle Team USA
- THE IMOCA CLASS has unveiled its 2019 calendar, with six events, three of which will count for the Imoca Globe Series: the Valencia Globe Series (pending confirmation), the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Transat Jacques Vabre. Note that the Grand Prix Guyader will include, as in 2018, an offshore course that should be a circuit of 1,000 miles between Douarnenez and Brest.
